Professor Robson Nunes de Lima received his bachelor's degree in 1987 and his master's degree in 1991, both in electrical engineering at the Federal University of Paraíba. During his master's degree, he developed a bidirectional wireless telemetry system based on microcontrollers (current wireless sensor networks). From 1991 to 1997, he worked at ENSERVICE / De La Rue Systems (Brazil) as an electronic engineer. In 1992, he joined Federal University of Bahia. Received the doctorate degree in Electronics and Telecommunications at the École Nationale Supérieure de Télécommunications-ENST-Paris in 2001, where the studies consisted of the design and implementation of circuits integrated in radio frequencies, especially active quasi circulators and systems for impedance measurement and adaptation. He held a postdoctoral position at Carleton University-Ottawa-Canada in 2009, where he worked with the development of radiotransceiver for short-distance in CMOS integrated circuit technology. He is currently an associate professor IV at the Federal University of Bahia, where from 04/2007 to 03/2008 he was head of the Electrical Engineering Department. From 03/2011 to 03/2015, he was coordinator of the Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering. From 2012 to 2015, he was the general coordinator of the FOTAMISE-2 program (Training in Advanced Microelectronics Technologies and Embedded Systems 2), CAPES-BRAFITEC nº 132/12, which involved academic-scientific training between the Federal University of Bahia - UFBA and Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS with six French institutions, such as the one that composes the réseaux Ampère: CPE Lyon, ENSEA-Cergy, ENSEIRB-Bordeaux, ENSICAEN, ENST Bretagne-Brest and Télécom Physique Strasbourg. This cooperation allows the mobility of Brazilian and French engineering students between these institutions. At the present he is the local coordinator (at UFBA) of this program, FOTAMISE 3. He is also a member of the National Institute of Science and Technology - INCT / NAMITEC. In 2015, he was the general president of the event Chip in Bahia 2015 (http://chipinbahia.eng.ufba.br/), one of the most important microelectronics events in South America. Currently, coordinate the research project entitled: Full-Duplex RF Transceivers, funded by CNPq.
Research interests: project and implementation of integrated and hybrid circuits applied to the radio frequency interface of transceivers for telecommunications.
